The 6/29 C&P Coffee show might possibly be Scott May's last performance with 3 dB down before he heads off to Australia. Don't miss the chance to see him in action with the band.
Guitarist Scott May has accepted an assignment in Australia and will be moving his family to Adelaide in late July. Scott says goodbye to 3 dB down after co-founding the band with Jeremy over 4 years ago (Jeremy and Scott have been playing together for over 9 years). The band will miss him immensely as an artist but more profoundly as a friend. We wish him all the best on his great adventure and look forward to a possible reunion in the years to come. It has been a great ride.
The KZOK "Write A Bleepin Song Contest" compilation CD was released last week at Silver Platters. David and Jeremy performed a couple songs at the release party. Pictures are posted here.
"Holding Up The Sky...combines power pop with hints of country, funk, and...has an earnest, positive, uplifting feel...The producer was musician Paul Speer...Paul gives the record a crisp clear sound that allows the songs to truly shine". Read the whole review here.
"Fast Forward" will be on the KZOK "Write a Bleepin' Song" compilation CD. Thanks to all who voted for us. Here is a photo of us at the KZOK studio with Bob Rivers and others....
Please welcome our new drummer Dave Samek.
"Holding Up The Sky" is an awesome disc all around. I haven't heard a single bad song on it...That's a great opening riff on "About Nothin"..."Don't Go" is catchy - I liked it the first time I heard it..."Long Shadows"...might be more of a musician's favorite - bluesy, has a great guitar solo and smart lyrics. In fact it might be the most poetic blues song I've ever heard.
Love it. Especially "On Leaving". Sad but meaningful.
Vocal strength, great acoustics, lyrics have something to say.
